UniKL Japan Universities Programme in UniKL MFI is a pathway for students to pursue studies in Japan.

The Japan Universities Programme (JUP) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is an elite educational pathway designed to prepare outstanding SPM graduates for engineering studies in Japan. This program aligns with Malaysia’s National Investment Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 and the TVET Madani policy to develop a high-skilled and expert workforce essential for the nation’s progress.

Exclusive for SPM High Achievers

JUP is tailored for academically excellent SPM graduates who meet MARA’s stringent eligibility criteria, including a minimum of 7As with A grades in Mathematics and Physics. Participants are sponsored under the Young Talent Development Program (YTP MARA).

Comprehensive Curriculum

Year 1: Students focus intensively on Japanese language proficiency and foundational science.
Years 2 & 3: Engineering subjects in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics are taught, following a syllabus equivalent to Japanese university standards.

Upon successful completion, students advance to one of 20 prestigious Japanese universities, including Saitama University, Meiji University, Tokyo University of Science, and Ritsumeikan University.

Global Collaboration

The program operates under a Government-to-Government (G-to-G) framework with the Japan University Consortium, strengthening ties between Malaysia and Japan in education and technology.
